Question:

How often are you suppose to wax your snowboard?

i got a board and the people at the store did the waxing and edging for me, but i dont know wen i should be getting another one. ive only been on it twice so far this year, but planning to go a lot more.

  1. I hot wax my boards every 3 -4 days of use, after a season of this the bases become saturated with wax, and I can delay it 4-5 days. I also touch up my edges every other time I hot wax.  If parking, the edges should be dulled or be base beveled enough to prevent grabs.


  2. well i ski, but i know that you should wax it at the beginign of each season.

    BUT!

    some ski places use a type of oil that completely strips your board of any wax.  A place i know of is called bradford.

    The only way to know about this oil is after you go there and then go somewhere else you will not be able to move on the snow

    so obvi, dont go to lame ski mountians that have to use that stuff to make snow
