How often can I apply for american express Credit Card?

I got one amex card on Match. I applied for one more on April but got denied saying "You applied too recently." When Shall I apply again?

You can only apply every 30 days.  Been there and done that already.  If you apply too soon they will deny it and it shows on your credit report.

Couldn't find anything on-line that said a specified length of time.  All creditors look at your overall credit profile before deciding to extend credit and many applications in a short period of time generally send up a red flag to lenders and they become hesitant to make additional loans.  Plus, if you applied without being invited to apply, your credit score probably dipped as multiple credit inquiries that you initiate will lower your credit score.  I would wait at least 90 days from the last application to apply again.  At the same time, I would make some purchases and pay them all off so that you build a history with Amex.  If you make a purchase and carry a balance, they will be afraid that you may accumulate debt and then you become a higher risk to them to pay it back.

Like Sabrina said you only can apply to the same credit card company once a month.

Every time you fill out a credit card application, it dings your score.  Too many applications in a short period, and it takes a big bite out of your score.

If you got one American Express card, why do you want another?  You would be better off having different brands of major credit cards, like Visa, Mastercard, or Discover.  These other cards are accepted at a lot more locations than American Express.

you should wait at least six months before you apply for another amx card.  Especially since you have recently been denied, they will automatically deny you now for at least six month.
