  1. You should probably clean the bowl evry 2 weeks

  2. A bowl? With a goldfish in it?? You're gonna need to change the water everyday until you move the goldfish to a bigger tank. I hope the bowl is very temporary and you're getting it at least a well filtered and cycled 10 gallon tank.

You won't have to worry about changing water though when your goldfish dies from being stunted in a tiny bowl and due the lack of oxygen.

  3. For a goldfish bowl, I would recommend you clean it every other day. Not completely but a 25% water change.

The fish would be so much happier in a tank than a bowl.

  4. Well i would do it weekly, but if it's dirty in between that time period i would clean it then

  5. every 2 weeks or so, or whenever it gets dirty!!!you should really get to your local petstore they have tons of experience and info and can refer you to the proper housing and filter!

  6. a goldfish cant live long in a bowl

it needs a 20 gallon tank

    and all fish need filters

  7. once a day but that goldfish is lonely move it to a fish tank and add some more goldfish.

  8. Gold fish can live in bowls But you should have a small pump to keep iit going and a small tank works very well.I had 1 in a small tank for more than 3 years.

  9. 50% of th water one day... 100% the next. epeat for as long as the thing lives which probably wont be long becuase since its in such a small container, its outsides wont grow but its insides wil, resulting in a horrib le, painful death for the poor lil guy =[   this is why people say 30gal plus 10gal for each aditional goldies for fancys and 50gal each for commons/commets.... these fish get HUGE. in a small thing of water, their bodies will stop growing, but their organs wont. resulting in a horribe painfull death./ please get the apropriate tank for your little fishy!!

  10. bowls are very bad environments for goldfish. Goldfish produce too much waste, need a lot of space to swim, as well as excellent filtration and very good water quality. None of these needs can be met if they are living in a bowl.

you should be doing water changes everyday.

  11. once a week is good to rid it off all the toxins. When you refill it with water make sure you give it atleast an hour for the tap water to settle. There are things in it to keep us safe from bacteria but that are harmful for fish.
