I own two cats, both in great heath, shiny coats, active, etc. and I was just wondering how often they should be taken to the vet to get 'up-to-date' on shots and such.

  1. Just once a year...Your babies need dewormed and tested for feline leukemia just once a year...And their annual shots..

  2. are they indoor or outdoor cats?

if indoor then I bring mine only when they are sick...they don't come in contact with other animals and the problems they carry so why the vet?

if outdoor then pretty much the same...if you are in a rural area where they are in fields and clean areas...

if outdoor and in the city then pretty often and get the shots as often as recommended

  3. Once a year. My vet informed me of this when I took my cat for his last kitten shots.

  4. If your cat is a healthy adult cat, then never. If your cats had all their shots when they were kittens they don't need new ones. Your vet may advise you too but it is really unnecessary and just a waste of time and money.

I haven't taken my cats to the vets since they had their initial shots at one year old and they are both now 10 and in great health.

  5. i think its lke every 2 years or somthing, idk my vet send me notes when my cat should come in
