  1. depends on amount of use. generally before you winterize it each year. if your south then every 3- 6 months depending on use. change everything each time.

  2. Usually we change oil after Every Three months.

And it also aply with the Gear Oil.

  3. All oils break down eventually especially if there is water getting into the containment area, --even in closed gear boxes. Gear oil should be changed annually.

For a Lister 3cyl  you should most definitely change the oil at the start of each season.  If your  running season is  much more than 3 months, change the oil every 3 months generally, but the 3 month cycle  is not critical if you are a once-a week boater,  the engine is running cleanly and the oil on the dipstick STAYS clean.

If the oil gets dark, dirty, or foamy-looking, change it more often.

Change the filters every time you change oil;  the fuel filters are absolutely critical, make sure you are keeping your fuel system very clean and free of dirt and water.

  4. This depends on how often the motor is run on the boat. from something like this where your not able to log mile, you need to look at run time. Most often they do this by run time. You will need to get a run time meter installed on your boat and keep track of the amount of time the motor was in operation. Then chage the oil ever 100 hours. This comes out to be around 3000 miles. you just need to keep a little note pad in the boat, write down the time the gage read when you changed the oil and then look at it every time you go to run the boat. Hope this helps.

  5. Keep in mind with an air cooled engine, the only thing keeping it cool is good oil.  Do it as often as the manufacturer suggests, and if you don't know, I'd err of the side of more instead of less.  Fuel filters, yes, as needed.  Gear oil, again yes, as often as called for.  Again if you don't know and can't find out, I'd suggest yearly.

  6. 3 months or look at it...if its clean let it go....i know in my cars/trucks at about 3000 miles it starts to get a little brown/black...gear oil...once a year..
