How often do i need to water my lawn?

i live in australia( perth) and am wondering how often i need to water my lawn (sir walter buffalo) for, each season?

Your lawn should get at a minumum of 1 inch of water a week. If it is hot you should water it more. 30 minutes a day should be fine. Also water it at night to prevent evaporation.

It depends on the weather.  If it rains you don't need to water it so much but in the hotter days you do.  Also, you need to find out what water restrictions you have there - some states only have the option to water their lawn twice a week.  I live in NSW...
