  1. My hubby gets pulled over often. It is hard for off-duty cops to drive like a civilian when they are used to driving like a cop 12 hours a day 3-4 days a week.

Cops don't ticket other cops for minor traffic infractions (professional courtesy) First driving over the speed limit is considered dangerous driving for the average joe-shmoe, but an officer is trained to drive the way they do, so it's not really considered a dangerous driving circumstance. Also if a cop gets a tickets on their record he/she can lose their job, a civialian would only have higher insurance and a fine.

  2. they get pulled over often

    but

fellow officers rarely ticket or arrest other officers !!

  3. No set number. If you get many tickets, you department is going to wonder:

    A. Do you have a problem driving?

    B. Are you that big an a**hole that your brothers are citing you.

  4. Sorry I'm unsure in the state of texas.. you can probably google and find that info that way.. best of luck
