I know no one will know the true answer. But do they just sit at base and train 99% of the time? Theres only a handful of known SAS missions and Delta Force missions available..

  1. u said it yourself u will never know the truth but chances are that right now somwhere in the world a delta team or SAS or SEAL team etc. is doin a mission that you will never know happend  (when Sadam was captured u can bet your *** that SOCOM was involved) also theres countless missions u hear about but dont know what really happend the US Army Rangers usually are teh ones providing security around Delta's ops and keep in mind each of these groups prolly has even more elite groups u might not have ever heard of (SEAL team 6)

  2. We are the public. We don't know. Even if you talked to someone who was on a special forces team they would not be able to tell you. If you want to join the military ask a recruiter.

  3. My dad was in  special forces of some sort when he was in the army, given this was 10 years ago, he told me he would have to leave sometimes once a month, or only once a year, its completely random and all depends on when they're needed.  Depending on they're specialty though, they're home around 50% of the time

  4. Pretty much...daily

the other answer to you question is that they do announce to the press that they are engaging in a covert operation so they won't be ambushed, and we(USA & UK) are just like any other nation. Make sense?

The young lady is speaking (obviously) of "one" unit.
