  1. it's 8 in a lifetime on average

  2. well,

my boyf (hes quite smart) always tells me its highly unlikely as they detect your carbon dioxide (your breath)

and know to stay away from that area

ive NEVER woken up with one in my mouth,

some of them get quite big so you'd feel that,

also you have a mechanism that stops you choking and swallowing hard things, itd wake you up

    small ones unlikely too

but i w ont say never cos i too have the fear

i woke up to blow my nose, grabbed my  hankies next to my bed and ther was this big huge one on it

i chucked them so far and fast and it was STILL sitting there, hadnt moved!!!!)

and ive had one in the bed cover before we went to bed,

but ive never felt one in my mouth

we get quite a few here, we live right next to a park

    and ive never swallowed any

ive had pelnty flies in my mouth tho, (not fun hate them)

    but

    no spiders

i think we can 'rest in peace'

    we probably wont tho

    .

  3. They are right. Its once every 10 years, however they say you swallow a small insect on average once a night, and a fly or a cockroach every 3 months. Horrible trivia I wish I didn't know!

  4. Yeah, I heard it was 8 in a lifetime. But that's just an average, so some people may have more, some may have less, or even none. So by using the average, I guess if you live to 80 then that's 1 every 10 years.

    Maybe your friend just misunderstood.
