How often do we have a colourful sunset in the UK?

Out of 365 evenings how many would be worth watching. I was told sunsets are beter than sunrises as well because the polution ( which gives the good colours) builds up during the day. A sunrise is not a sunset backwards!

There is a high degree of cloudiness over the UK and some pretty strong wind patterns as well.   The isobaric pressure patterns are impressive,  a lot of the time..

On the West coast it's about 150 a year.

britain is over cast 60% of the time on average in a year so clear nights look the best but sometimes clouds look cool too with it so about half the time i'd guess
