How often do women get pregnant from rape?

Seriously, what percentage of women become pregnant solely from one rape? Abortion shouldnt stay legal for this one reason. Not only do they rarely get pregnant, if a woman becomes pregnant from rape she will obviously have the s***n inside of her, and that could be proof she could get an abortion if it becomes illegal. Rape is no reason to have abortion remain legal.

It is so sad that you haven't learned basic fertility education, such as the word ovulation.  Find out for yourself about ovulation!

In my mom's first teaching job and first experience in public schools, she was raped once by a stalking policeman.  Abortions were illegal.  Since she wasn't allowed quality doctor care with full legal rights, she nearly bled to death from the abortion.  I am her first born and I think women are more important than feti.  

If you know medical terms and history, feti turn into babies when they take their first breath.  I often check my loved ones to see if they are still breathing.  

Also, when a fetus separates from a woman that is the time they come into this world, have their birthdays, are named, Christened, and shown to their family.  

To give a fetus rights...., rights would have to be taken away from men, women, and children.  My aunt didn't abort her eighth pregnancy even though doctors determined the fetus was without a skull and would start to die as soon as he became a baby.  To make matters worse, my aunt nearly left her 7 children orphaned in his delivery.  Doctors were allowed to give her choices every step of the way and an emergency C-section was necessary to save her life.  

Government should not decide for us.  If you want government to regulate and control your uterus and body, move to communist and fascist China.  If you want to be prolife become a surrogate for the feti of rape victims.  With the number of "prolifers," becoming a surrogate should be in much higher demand.  The technology is high in demand for every other transplant, such as hearts and kidneys.

I'm tired of these "prolifers" who think life ends at birth.  Why aren't "prolifers" concerned about adopting the 140 million orphaned children of all ages, colors, and abilities?

This is a ridiculous question. If a woman is ovulating and is raped without protection, she will very likely get pregnant. If abortion were only legal in the event of a rape, how would you propose to enforce that? Every woman that wanted an abortion would claim rape. How would you seperate the liars from the victims? Would the woman have to wait until the suspect was convicted? The baby would be born by that time. What if no suspect was found? She's just screwed? Seriously, be pro-life if you want to be - but don't just randomly say things without thinking it thru.

My best friend got raped, and became pregnant by it. She just recently had twins, who are coming up on their 10 month birthdays in a few weeks. Were going to raise them together.

I would have fully supported her getting an abortion.

Thats not the only reason abortion should be legal. What about women who cant raise kids? What about teenagers? What about incest babies? Your logic is based on idiocy.

Rape is just one of the many reasons why abortion is legal.

People make mistakes and aren't ready for children.

People aren't financially stable enough to bring children up in a happy environment.

And it is very possible, my frind got pregnant when a condom was used and it was her first time, so it is definately a high chance that you will get pregnant if you are raped without protection!

1 out of 4 women are raped in her lifetime.  That's a brutal, but true stat.  I was raped in college, I know MANY women, including my mother who have also been raped.  

I don't know what percentage of women get pregnant, because getting pregnant depends on what part of the cycle a woman is in.

I've got a suggestion for you though.  How about YOU start working on the law that all rapist must wear condoms.  They are typically not polite enough to do it on their own, usually in too much of a hurry, or too worried about fending off the punches, scratches, kicks and screams from the woman they are about to illegally violate.  I guess if you could regulate them though, that sure would be lovely.  There would CERTAINLY be less unwanted pregnancy if you could just get a handle on those dang rapists!  Write up your condom law!  I'm sure it's just that none of the rapists thought of it before now!  You could really do some good!  I'll let you take all the credit for the idea, don't worry.  Go on, get to work.

Making abortion illegal won't stop abortion. If people want an abortion they will find a way. And while they are finding a way, the death rate for botch abortion will increase. Now we will have dead mothers and babies. Seriously, think about it.

Abortion should be legal for more than one reason. The government shouldn't tell a woman what to do with her body. Personally, I wouldn't have one if I was being irresponsible. But if I was rape I wouldn't know what to do. You should try putting yourself in someone's feet before you open your mouth.
