Question:

How often do you change the water for red comets and how often do you feed them?

I just got it yesterday but it looks lonely and doesn't eat much!

  1. get one or two more.

    check its body and fins for tears, bumps etc...

    go on the internet and check the disease

I'm assuming you mean a red comet goldfish.  You need to have a minimum of a 20 gallon tank for one and 10 more gallons for each additional fish.  You'll need to upgrade that further as they grow.  They will get to be over 12" long if kept properly and can live for up to 40 years.  They are really meant to be pond fish.

  3. Fish don't get lonley.  Also he is new to the tank.  Many fish don't eat or act shy the first few days in an aquarium.  Give him a few days to readjust to his new home.
