  1. If you have scoopable cat litter you should remove the chunks daily and replace the entire box of litter every two-four weeks.  If you are using regular clay litter you should scoop it daily and replace it completely once a week.

  2. I use "the worlds best cat litter" and it clumps everything up perfectly, so I've never replaced the whole litter as what is loose and inside is clean. (had it for 1 month now)

My kittens are perfectly clean but if they did p**p on the sides I would of course clean the base. Its just that they dont.

  3. you don't have to clean the whole thing out very often     I usually do it every 2 weeks   just until the litter gets all gross and it makes the whole box dirty.  My cat is really really old so she doesnt make that big of a mess!

  4. once a week!

  5. every 3 days

  6. ummm sometimes, every 2-4 weeks mostly =)

  7. I do it once a week depending on how bad they mess around the sides. My kittens are incredibly messy so sometimes i do it every 3 to 4 days give or take.

  8. I am almost afraid to answer this.  I have six cats, so things can really pile up.  I also have six litter boxes, placed throughout the house.  I use clumping litter.  Some cats are extremely fastidious, and demand a totally clean litter box almost daily.  Mine tend to focus on two or three litter boxes, and ignore the rest. It is rare that there is a deposit in each litter box each day. So that means they are not extremely fussy, and sometimes prefer to use only one or two litter boxes.  In that case, I have to scoop out more than once a day.

If they mess against the sides, or the clumping litter breaks into too many small pieces, then the entire contents are changed more often and the box scrubbed clean.  And, if there is an odor that I detect, regardless of how clean it may appear, it is time to change the litter.  Normally, that would be a urine odor that I detect.

I probably have to change the litter less often than the manufacturers would like me to do, but it works for me, and my cats agree.

  9. Hi

I use Tidy Cat liners in the vinyl pan.  I change it about 2 weeks or earlier if needed.  I use cat odor spray in the pan and wipe it dry and put in a new liner.  Much easier!

    Peace

    PS:  I clean her litter 2-3 X's a day!

  10. it depends on how many cats u have and how fast it gets dirty u can tell it needs to be emptied by the colour of the litter if its gotten dark it need to be changed i have 2 boxes one my cats use to peep in and the other they use for poo alot of ppl tell me i'm luckey my cats do that but i think most ppl only have one box so the cats cant choose but the one they pee in i change every week cuz it gets dirty very quick the one they poo in i chang once a month and add litter every when needed and baking soda to both boxesfor the smell

  11. well I have a 5 month old kitten.....until she was about 3 1/2 months old i cleaned it out every week. but now she doesn't make such a mess, and i scoop everyday, so i can usually go about 2-3 weeks before i have to clean out the entire thing!

  12. I remove poops daily,

but the whole thing once a week some times every two weeks ( they have more than one litter box)
