  6. hey!

    I drive barefoot a lot...

    but hbu...

oh and r u the Barefoot guy

  7. never...dangerous...

  8. I only drove barefoot once that I can remember and that was when I stepped in a pile of doggy doo. I put my shoes in a bag and in the trunk (peeeeyuuuu!).......and found that I didn't have the same feel for the pedals. All those little bones in my feet moved around too much for my liking. I feel that I have more control with something supportive under and around my foot when I drive.I also think I can control the pedals more with a solid structure under my foot. I wouldn't want to have to get out of my car onto ice/snow/gravel/hot pavement with bare feet either..........and as for going into a 7-11 Convenience store........just think of all the chewed gum and spit and tossed cigarette butts on the pavement.....yuck! I recently saw a report on the excessive amounts of bacteria, etc. brought into a home because people don't take off their shoes, so imagine having bare feet all the time?

For new drivers I think it might be more unsafe because a foot could slide off the pedal. That's my opinion.

I don't believe that it is "illegal" to drive barefoot, but I do know that many larger trucking/delivery/courier companies make it mandatory to wear safe footwear due to Worker's Compensation and Insurance issues.
