How often do you encounter abusive and very agressive drivers on the road?

I encounter them on a daily basis wherever i go. They'd be tailgating, jumping red lights, cutting everyone without signals and slamming their gas pedals to the floor. Yet i never see them get ticketed or pulled over, and about 99.99% of them always get away with it.

How about you, how often do you encounter such drivers?

  1. Every time I drive there is some type of undereducated drivers on the road doing exactly what you said. They just don't care to drive with proper road etiquette, or common courtesy. All we can do is hope that they will be caught by the cops one day and get a hefty fine or suspension. No use getting worked up about lousy drivers it just stresses you more and makes you angry. Just stay well away from them and let them get the ticket. if they tailgate you just make sure you are in the right lane so they can pass on the left and if you are ignore them , if they hit you from behind they are at fault and will damage their car more than yours. Hope this helps.

  2. Daily but try this.................

Be cautious of other drivers and expect the unexpected.

Do not make eye contact with an irate driver.

Do not confront an upset motorist.

If you are cut off, do not make any hand gestures to the other motorist.

If you are being chased by another motorist who appears to be in a rage, do not weave in and out of traffic. You could cause harm to yourself, passengers, and other motorists.

If you are being chased, drive with the flow of traffic. If you have a cell phone, call 911. Go to a place where you feel safe.

If you have to pull over, try to go to a well-lighted location where there are other people.

  3. Seen you additional comments, $3,000 dollars for speeding.  In the UK you would need to be doing 300mph for something like that.  Typically anything from the £60 minimum to £300 is what you would get, perhaps we are too lenient.  Driving for sure has gotten poorer over recent years.  Too much traffic, people are too busy and impatient.  I met a crash 6 weeks ago, first on scene, to see 2 BMW's hit head on.  This was caused by impatience, one man died as a result. This has slowed me down and think more.

  4. Yep, seems too be a common problem all over the world.

At this time of the year it becomes noticeably worse, more cars on the road, means bigger traffic jams, so tempers flare.

I drive a heavy vehicle that weighs 18 tonnes so I don't get messed with too much, but after the 25th it will all slow down.

    Hang in there!

  5. during this time of year , about everytime i drive near the mall.

It sucks they get away with it, eventually they will mess up and get caught

  6. Very often. The tailgaters especially are usually male "P" plate drivers. I think their brains don't click into gear too quick these days.

  7. haha sucks for you slow drivers. i have a 2004 Acura TL 6 speed. and at 19, YUP. i step on it... doing 60mph in second gear at times...its the 6 speed man, i cant help it! LOL. OH yeah i got a speeding ticket, just one though!

  8. Not often for me but then I don't think I'm the worlds cop either. You would be amazed at how many things you do that iritates other drivers. Chill

  9. There are a ton of crappy drivers here too and they get away with it.  I've seen that guy with the acura post a bunch of dumb stuff on here...I know how I drove when i was 19. Definately a good thing I had a slow car. Glad I don't live where you can hit and kill me...

  10. I haven't driven for over a year.  One example of "people like that" slammed smashed into the gas tank of my car, going 35mph when Id stopped, and started at an intersection and was slowly very slowly prodeeding and when I looked there was NOone on that street, and soon here's this guy legally going that fast and plowing into my gas tank and totalling my car with me in it because the city had not put up a stop sign so he'd at least have to stop and look before proceeding. Then the sheriff who should have been on my side wrote that I had "failed to yield"!!!  You can';t fight these people,  and I just payed the fine, didn't even go to court..I don't see fairness or honesty-- people do what profits them. My car was totalled with me in it. I don't fit into this kind of scene.  The state was also flooded with illegal aliens, of a kind that were increasing problems with the law, with the police, etc.

Life without the convenience of driving in peace has less value. But I can't change people or the law.  I can only choose what I do about it.  My state, city, is  more populated, the police are busier tracking down and arresting people under the influence of meth amphetamine or liquor,  and there is more crime, more murder. Crimes are senseless.  Women are committing some of the murder.  We are luckfy to have the police.  Some of  lost their lives from dealing with  increased crime in the city. I think they are doing a good job.  They are arresting lawbreakers and not just letting them get away with it. Some of the police get shot and killed, and more have to be hired and trained.  I remember the good old days. I depend on other people to take me where I must go and I don't go as often. Some of the idiot drivers make driving less safe for others because they are playing stupid games with their cell phones while they should be giving all their attention to the road and the driving.  Driving and dealing with people like them is like swimming in crocodile infested waters--I've given up!

  11. my bff drives like that and never gets tickets! ugh it makes me so mad, because I've gotten two tickets and I hardly ever do that... and a lot of the time some of my friends will tell me that they were driving the other day and that my friend was tailgating them or some such story... and she's hit a school bus and a truck and both times she got away with it by crying! life is unfair... I mean I've never hit anyone, but if I did, I'm sure I wouldn't get away with it by crying ...

  12. Oh wow boss77 you're so cool...my old POS nissan maxima can get up to 60mph in second gear easily as well...that's nothing special lol. I'd love to race someone like you on a real track to show how bad of a driver you really are..
