Not on yearly basis.

More like how often do you go onboard every month? and how long do you stay onboard?

  1. If you work aboard a ship, you're onboard everyday! As for Going out to sea- You go out to sea everytime we MARINES need a ride! LOL


  2. Every type of ship has a different schedule, a different purpose.

    Some will hang out near their port and only go out for an over-nighter once a month.

    While other ships will go out for six months at a time, but then hang out in port for months at a time.

    My boats did very well scheduled patrols, 100 days in port, followed by 100 days out, on and on.


  3. You go onboard every work day including duty days. Typical working hours are 0700 to 1600. The ship is tied to a pier and you walk up the brow and get on.

    You go to Sea when deployed or underway.
