My fry are at the age where they are starting to fight. I am going on vacation tomorrow and leaving them in my grandmother's care. She cannot be responsible to pick out the bullies and such, so I am considering getting jars for all 15 of them for the week I am gone. I was thinking about doing this, except I don't want my grandmother to have to change the water in 15 jars every other day! I think she can manage 1 water change efficiently if nessecary during the week, but even that is going to be hard for her.

  1. They should have water changes every other day, to help them grow quickly and healthily, but if that is not possible then 1 water change for the week should be fine. As long as she doesn't over feed them then they should be fine.

  2. It depends on how big the jars are. It's really important that the juvenile bettas have a clean, healthy enviornment so that they do not become stunted. Are they old enough to s*x? Do you have any female bettas? Sometimes the female bettas can be kept in the same tank together and they will develop a pecking order, which helps to spread the aggression so that it's not directed towards one individual, plus yours may get along better since they are siblings. If there are some females you could leave them together and just jar the males.

Hmm...I wouldn't push for a whole week, maybe every 4-5 days.
