Question:

How often do you lose a contact?

Just had the weirdest thing happen. I wear contacts (though I imagine you would have gathered so by the question itself) and for most of today my left eye was bothering me. So in an attempt to clean the contact I went to take it out only to find that it wasn't there. Jabbed at my eye a couple times before I finally gave into the idea that it was lost! I rubbed my eye a bit, lo and behold it was hiding behind my eye! How often does that happen to you? Is there any specific reason that it might do something like that?

  1. Hahaha, I had that happen before! It freaked me out, cause well, I was having 'fun' with my hubby and when we finished I was like "Omg I cannot see out my left eye!" Took me 10 minutes to realize where it was, I felt like a dork.

Mine happened cause the position I was in and such. I tend to have problems with my contacts getting lose, but that's because I have astigmatisms in both my eyes, my right eye almost to the point I need special contacts.

  2. LOL...now, before you start a whole new series of questions about contacts going behind the eye...

You mean it was up under your eyelid...not " behind" your eye.

It can''t go behind your eye, there is no opening for it to do so...or when you opened your eyes under water...your head would fill up.

  3. I have never experienced this one, but I have heard about it a few times.

  4. How long have you had these contacts for? If they're fairly new, and you are getting this problem a lot, then maybe they are the wrong size. But if you only get it once or twice don't worry. I had it happen to me once, but only after I went swimming with my contacts in by accident. It shouldn't really happen all that often to you, but if it only happens on occasion, then you probably just rubbed you eye at one point, or it was never put in right in the first place.
