Question:

How often do you need a new prescription for reading glasses?

I just stepped on my old pair of reading glasses that were from almost four years ago, which worked fine, and which are still serviceable, if not slightly out of alignment. Since I'm living in Korea, I can get cheap glasses here with the same prescription I had from my reading glasses, although I don't want to do it if it turns out that my prescription is so different than it was when I was in college. I'm also pretty sure that the change in the prescription for my normal glasses since that time has been pretty small, although I'm not positive.

  1. It is recomended that people get there eyes tested every two years

  2. Unless you are approaching 40 years of age, your prescription for reading glasses probably has not changed very much, if at all.  Unless you are experiencing a lot of blur up close that you never had when you first got the glasses, go ahead and get the cheap pair.
