How often do you need to get a tetanus shot?

How do you know if your infected, does the area get infected or what! Just list thing for me please!

You need to get the shot once every ten years. If you get a deep/puncture wound, your doctor may recommend getting another tetanus shot then.

when injured, one must go in  for T.T. injection to prevent attack by tetanus bacteria, for which there is no cure.

T.T. injection can be had once in 6 months to develop anti bodies in the blood stream against tetanus. or go for medical advice at the time of first shot.
