How often do you need to water your ice plant?

I just got one from the star nursery and I think It is a special one.

All ice plants are succulents and don't need additional water, although they WILL bloom more with added water.

We have ice plant facing our south side.  I rarely give it additional water, but when water run-off gets to its side of the garden, the plants bloom little red flowers.
