Question:

How often do you say, "when I was your age...."?

to your children or grandchildren? I've already caught myself doing this before with my 3 year old. I caught her jumping on the bed and told her to stop and get off the bed because, "When I was your age, I broke my collar bone from jumping on the bed."

  1. Oh.........I have said it so often...at least a few times a week. Now my daughter will say, "Remember when you were a kid........." lol


  2. More than I ever thought I would. When it comes to chores, school and just about everything they hate doing (which I don't blame them, I hated it too). Of coarse the things that they are too young to do also. They will figure it out one day same as we have.

  4. I say that to my nephew all the time.. He's 6 and I'm 21.  It's crazy how much the world has changed.

  5. I'm only 30 and I say that all the time.  As soon as it comes out I chuckle because it makes me feel so old.

  6. It's OK to use yourself as good example. Just watch your child closely so it won't happen to her.  

  7. Never but I find myself looking at attractive young ladies and thinking " I wonder what her Mum looks like?"

  8. Every single day since turning 30.  I have a 5 year old who thinks she's 15 and am a substitute teacher.  These kids today!
