How often do you say, "when I was your age...."?

to your children or grandchildren? I've already caught myself doing this before with my 3 year old. I caught her jumping on the bed and told her to stop and get off the bed because, "When I was your age, I broke my collar bone from jumping on the bed."

Oh.........I have said it so often...at least a few times a week. Now my daughter will say, "Remember when you were a kid........." lol

More than I ever thought I would. When it comes to chores, school and just about everything they hate doing (which I don't blame them, I hated it too). Of coarse the things that they are too young to do also. They will figure it out one day same as we have.

I say that to my nephew all the time.. He's 6 and I'm 21.  It's crazy how much the world has changed.

I'm only 30 and I say that all the time.  As soon as it comes out I chuckle because it makes me feel so old.

It's OK to use yourself as good example. Just watch your child closely so it won't happen to her.
