  1. I have to go once a month to my GP, once every 3 months to my Endocrinologist and the same to my eye specialist as I have a Thyroid disorder.

If it's just a minor thing I would ask the local Pharmasist.

I think, once you are 50, if you haven't been to the doctor for a while, you are invited for an M.O.T. (UK)

  2. when ever i have a problem that i think the doctor can help me with. sorry i dont keep note of how often i go.

If its a minor problem, just dont bother

  3. When I have a need.  Probably about once in the last 9 years.  Even then it was for a check that there was nothing more serious than minor piles up my bum.

I would go regularly with this complaint, but they might get the message that I was wasting their valuable time.

I think I have had about 1 bad cold in the last 9 years, and only minor sports injuries which I could deal with myself.

However, I do get a tetnus and polio boost and I believe one is due soon, so I will probably pay a visit.

  4. Most adults should visit the doctor yearly for a check-uo.

Most only go when they have a problem - due to inconvenience and cost. Also, since so much information is available on the net, many people do research and diagnosis themselves, and only go to the doctor when they're stumped... or scared.

  5. I won't go unless i absolutely have to. Most people should go once a year for a checkup, especially as you start to get older. I just hate doctors, so i don't go. Plus, it's so expensive to go now days, i would never go for a minor problem. I guess it would be different for everyone, depending on you health situation, and if your not afraid to go, like me :-)

  6. i have been 3 times this year which is a lot for me

  7. Once a year. Unless something is really wrong. You should go once a year for a physical. Go even if it is something minor because sometimes it's not minor when you think it is

  8. I only go when there is something they can actually help with. I do get a repeat prescription every 6 months that I need to get my blood pressure take for so my answer would have to be once every 6 months.

  9. i only go when there is a problem but im pretty healthy and have nothing wrong with me so going the doctors is a rare thing for me

  10. wen ever a problem nd maybe regular check ups like once a month

  11. When there is a need, in my case hardly ever, maybe a few times a year, I went recently however

  12. I go when i'm very poorly. I would give a problem at least a week to see if it improved itself before i went with anything. How many times depends on the individual if you have a chronic condition or are elderly then you will go more often than a fit person who may almost never go at all. If you pester your doctor all the time with trivial complaints then he will be less likely to believe you when you really are ill, and the surgery also has the option of striking you off the list if you are being a nuisance. For the record the last time i went was 2 years ago and that was because i had a lump in my breast - turned out to be just muscular.
