How often does Navy reserve sailors get called to active duty?

Grand son is going into the Navy Reserve next week...After he is done training will and can he be called into Active Duty..

Yes he can be if hes in the reserves.  Thats what they're there for.  

And right now its pretty common to go IA when you're a sailor.
