  1. Um....Scorpio-Capricorn is actually a sextile, though, not a trine. But it will be twice a month, as aspicco said:)

  2. Hi,

The detail sentence you put in here makes the larger question confusing to me.  Are you asking how often you'll have either transiting Mars trine natal Moon or transiting Moon trine natal Mars?

I can try to answer you, I just need the clarification.

    Okay, thanks for the clarification:

The moon stays in one sign for 2 1/2 days (2 1/2 x 12 signs=30 days).   To form a trine, it has to be within a certain number of degrees from the planet in question.  This certain number of degrees is called an orb.  Different astrologers/astrology hobbyists set these orbs differently.  For me, if the Sun or Moon is involved, I allow ten degrees.  So anytime the Moon is at 6Pisces27-26Pisces27, you have a trine, and anytime it's at 6Cancer27-26Cancer27, you have a trine.  So, it should happen twice a month and it should last for 40 hours each time.  In a 31-day month, you might get it for a the last few hours of the last day of the month, but that's negligible.

Figuring out how often transiting Mars trines natal Moon is harder to do, in part because Mars will sometimes go retrograde causing it to stay in a sign for 3 months instead of its usual 2.  Because of the slow movement, this will happen closer to 2 or 3 times per year, but will last longer when it does happen.  The range for the trine is 20 degrees and it takes 60 days for Mars to go 30 degrees, so for it to move all the way across that 20 degree range would take 40 days, barring the retrograde, which would cause a muted effect to the trine anyway.

The effects of the two are as follows.  I am taking this from the following link:

    Mars Transits Trine Moon

You have a lot of energy for improving your surroundings or life situations. You are very motivated to improve. There could be some hard feelings, especially from younger persons, if you become too aggressive.

*Trine: Your feelings run hot now, and you are more likely to act on instinct, emotion, and impulse rather than reason. Your responses to life are passionate, and also more natural, childlike, and direct. High spirited physical play, lovemaking, or any activity that really involves you emotionally (such as a rock concert, a rousing football game, etc.) will be very gratifying to you now.

    Moon trine Mars

This transit boosts your self-confidence and ability to assert yourself without ruffling the feathers of people around you. Your desire nature and your emotions are cooperating beautifully just now, which increases your resourcefulness and independence. Others allow you to be yourself, and you feel "in sync" with your environment. You can more confidently rely on your instincts now, and you react well to competition. This influence heightens your feelings, awakens your impulses, and stirs your passions, mostly in a positive way. This is sometimes an indication of connections made with men. As well, passionate liaisons sometimes begin under this transit. You're a natural leader under this influence, so it's an opportune time to take the initiative. Do something that breaks the routine or that you've always wanted to do but have been hesitating to do due to shyness or fear. You'll pull it off with finesse now.

Let me know if this meets your needs or if you have other questions.

    UPDATE FOR "TIRED OF ...."

He asked about transits to those planets (the positions weren't really necessary to answer the question), not the nature of the aspect between them in the natal chart.

  3. The Moon will trine Mars twice a month... whether you are referring to in the sky, or in your chart, it happens twice a month... the Moon goes through all 12 signs every month...
