How often does the bus run between cabo san lucas-san jose del cabo and where do I catch it?

There are several types of buses that run between CSL and SJD.   You can catch just about any of them to take you from a-b.  

Urbanos are usually within the city limits, collectos are red minibuses and they are usually specialized for certain workers,  then there are the green and yellow people movers (this is the bus you want), then you will see the blue and white aguila buses that are usually for longer distances, like la paz.  

For the most part you will see bus shelters or people standing in groups all along the highway.  Signal, and if the bus goes by without stopping then it isn't susposed to pick you up.  The fares vary for gringos and locals.  But they will be very cheap nonetheless. Ask how much as you get on.  There will be a person sitting close to the driver that will take the money for him.  Tell him where you want to get off and usually he'll call it out for you.  It is an extremely reliable and safe way to get back and forth to both towns.
