How often does the human race actually do something to make you think better of us as a whole?

one minor miracle and an ephiany all on the same day.

Yahoo finally reversed a violation notice on appeal, its seems they do sometimes have staff that read. And the 2nd was my doc who instead of loading me up just with tablets, has arranged for me and my family to see counsellors.

Anything nice in the news today, perchance a heartwarming story or is it the usual rubbish?

  1. NEVER

  2. Congrats.

Girls going to school in Afghanistan now.

Zimbabwe stirring with the possiblity and hope for a new day.  Hopefully it won't be snuffed out by its tyranical leader and his Chinese backers.

Nato sending more troops to help in Afghanistan and NATO expanding to former Soviet states.

Clinton and Obama being exposed as teh lecherous cowards they are.

Seems like a lot of good things happening.

    Must be spring!!!

  3. The human race is too selfish to do anything good to anyone in this world.

  4. I'm really pleased for you hun.. Stay positive xx

  5. Very rarely I'm afraid. For the "minor" miracles I take walks into the rainforest nearby and the sheer noise of the wildlife there

is like a symphony that leaves me refreshed every time.

Good to hear that you are doing well!

From Malaysia we wish you a good recovery.

  6. How about all the simple nameless, selfless acts that people do daily that DON'T make it to the news media?  Like:

----the people on here who volunteer their spare time to answer our questions with serious answers.

----the formerly-anonymous schoolmate who puts quarters in almost-expired parking meters (I actually caught her one evening after school).

----my best friend who drives by bus stops on the streets on hot summer days and pass out freezing cold bottled waters.

----my sister who sacrificed most of her life to raise me right, working since she was a kid to support our living expenses and my high medical bills.

----a local Vietnamese pharmacy manager who uses his hard-earned income to sponsor strangers from Vietnam to migrate here to the U.S., pays for their pharmacy school educations as well as their living expenses as long as they stay in school F/T.

----my sister's neurologist who offers some struggling patients deeply discounted, 80%- to 90%-off copays, with free medications paid out of his own pockets.

----local well-established attorneys who volunteer a part of their time for free domestic violence cases.

The list goes on and on.  It's more a matter of our daily attitude and open hearts that enables us to see all these good things amidst the negativity.  And it's a matter of carrying on this torch of faith that makes good things happen and keep it going.  It starts with one pair of eyes and one heart at a time.

  7. Good to hear from your other post that you are on the right track, but sometimes taking a break from the news is a good thing. Go for a walk, read a book, take up a new hobbie. If you are hopelessly addicted to the news, then check out the link below. I have also added a funny ad link to brighten your mood!

It's good to see that so many people who don't even know you, actually care.

One step at a time. Good luck with your journey.

  8. I'm so sorry dude.

  9. I can never see the human race doing anything brilliant without considering what **** things the human race also do - therefore I tend to see brilliant things and just shake my head in puzzlement at how bizarre and fickle the human race is.
