How often does this happen to you at the drive-thru?

Question

When I go to fast food restaurants at the drive-thru, I sometimes get lucky and get free food and drinks. Lately, I've been going to this McDonald's and the last two times I ordered a Happy Meal, I get something extra. For instance, I order a four piece chicken nugget Happy Meal and get a six piece nugget or when I order a cheeseburger Happy Meal, I get a double cheeseburger. Coincidences or just happen to be there at the right place, right time? I'm wondering how often this happens to other people.

That has happened to me a few times.

Like 1 time I ordered a big mac n a small fry I got a medium fry also & a apple pie.I find it cool that they do this :)

I have this happens to me 1/2 of the time i go through drive Thurs. Which is a lot seeing how i go through one everyday to get a coffee from Tim Horton's

I was an unfortunate teenager who had the pleasure of working at a Hardee's (known as Carl Jr. in some places) and we were told if someone had to wait too long for food to give them something extra. It happens. So like if you had to wait on your chicken strips you would get an extra one or two in your box. Or if it took too long for your burger then you would get a free apple pie or something.

About the only thing extra we get is sauce - Taco Bells here give you a giant handful of taco sauce when you order only one or two items. We literally got like 20 packets one day, when we needed only 2 or 3. However, napkins are almost impossible to get, it seems.

And I usually get shorted on items - like a missing fry, so I try to check my order (quickly) when I am given my order at the pick up window.

S'not! You will get a bad waistline soon! Maybe employees mad at management and giving out freebies. Or its close to due date to be tossed out and you get it instead.

Maybe you're getting someone elses food and someone else is getting your food. Happens all the time. I used to be GM for McDonalds, and with bad customer service, sometimes some people get all the good luck and sometimes some people get all the bad luck!

None.  I have never received any "free" food from McDonald's.  You must be a lucky person or someone there "likes" you.

I have had it happen to me once, but never like what your talking. I ordered a medium soda and got a extra large, but I was charged for it...check your receipt to make sure they did not charge you extra!
