  1. My step daughter Lia is 14 and incredibly affectionate.

She always hugs me before bed and says she loves me

Sometimes she'll just randomly walk up and hug me if she's had a hard day or if I've had a hard day lol

I feel extremely fortunate that Lia's so affectionate because I would be heartbroken if she was like me when I was a teenager

(I refused to let my mother hug me and told her on a regular basis that I hated her and she was ruining my life)

  2. My 15 yr old daughter hugs me daily, and I usually kiss her on the top of the head when she does.

  3. Don't have them yet but I hope they hug and kiss me everyday when their teens.

  4. I have 4 boys 13, 13, 11 and 8. I get lots of hugs when we are home. Out in public not so much LOL

My kids are cuddlers and are affectionate. I still "tuck them in" at night and I get hugs then. When I am leaving to go somewhere, or sometimes just walking by eachother for the heck of it.

  5. Im 17, i hug my mom everyday.

  6. My daughter is 13, she likes to give hugs and kisses at least every day.  (Hugs especially).

  7. i hug my mom about once a week and i hug my dad about like once a week. i love my parents but they don't like hugs they will when like i hold my arms out and everything. Also my parents work A LOT! so there not home a lot for me to hug them

  8. As a teenager i used to kiss each of my parents twice a day, at least. In the morning and before going to bed. That's a habit I kept from my childhood. I still kiss them, now over thirty, for greeting and to say good bye, when we visit.

  9. Only when I ask, or steal one, or he wants something. My son is 17 and you would think I was hugging a porcupine for the way he bristles at an embrace. However, there is a faint smile just beneath the scowl that lets me know he appreciates the affection and knows that he is loved.

  10. I have a 13 year old daughter. It's rare! I would say a couple times a week if I'm lucky. NEVER in public though. God forbid. I learned that the hard way when she was 9 lol.

  11. My teen son has always been a hugger and he's still one now. We both get multiple hugs a day. He seems less embarrassed by me than his father, like I'm allowed to walk into the school area anytime, my husband is not unless it is for a parent activity. I think that has more to do with how the kids perceive parents - mom is going to do it if she wants to, so just let her. Besides, he knows if he gives me a hard time I'll do something naughty at drop-off, like yell, Bye Bye sweetie pie, mommy LOVES you the mostest. lol But he is affectionate with both of us, and is actually more a dad's boy.

My son is especially huggy when there is a new video game out he wants. Uh huh.

So far, he actually still likes us and likes spending time with us. Not sure how long until he just tolerates us....

  12. I am 17. I hug my mom every day (several times) and she hugs and kisses me. I neither hug nor kiss my father (nor does he to me) because...well, let's just say we don't get along. He has done things that I cannot ever forgive.

  13. I'm 14 and when I'm not pissed off at my parents I hug them all the time. I hug my dad a lot and give him a kiss on the cheek and play with his hair. If I'm pissed off at them like I am right now, I don't hug them, I don't do much more than grunt at them when they say something to me.

  14. i'm a teenage daughter

i'm not a very physical person.

i honestly can't remember the last time i've hugged my parents.

my mum and dad aren't very affectionate people either, so maybe i got it from them...?
