  1. Usually what you feed 2 year old ball pythons they need to eat large mice to sometimes rats. You can feed it twice a week. They usually get hungry after they defecate(p**p). If you look at the middle of your snake's body you could tell what it could eat. Even though their head might be small but they can take it. So just look at the middle of his/her body and see if he/she can eat a large mouse or a small rat. And yes your snake will be alright. They can go months without food. The record was 2 years without eating.

  2. He'll be just fine. I feed mine weekly or maybe a little longer.

If I cant keep feed regularly I'll feed a larger rat or more quails per meal.

  3. I have a ball python too and we hardly ever feed her. Its not that we neglect her, we feed her when she gets hungry. We breed rats to feed to her (because it's cheaper then buying one every time) and so we don't always have one every week. You can tell when he gets hungry because he will follow your hand. Be careful or he might strike the glass. Snakes can go for a while with out eating, so 3 weeks he should be fine.

  4. He'll be fine... They can go without food for 3 months. But he needs to be feed as soon as possible.

  5. I believe you should feed a snake every time they p**p. Also you should keep extra food so you can feed them as they need it and not have to worry about running to the store three weeks later.  But snakes and any reptile really can go a long time without eating.

  6. once every week or two

  7. it will be fine

they can go a LONG time without eating

but if you want it to grow fast feed it a lot

  8. Well he will be fine if you haven't fed him but you shouldn't keep it up because ball pythons can be very finicky eaters so once you get him on a feeding schedule then keep him at that one. Because when you change it up like feeding him once a week then go a month w/o feeding him then feed him twice every week(you get the point) it would mess him up and he wouldn't eat. So basically keep him on an uneven schedule isn't the best for him, and after a while it is kind of like animal abuse.....sorry to say that =[

Yes, it's true that ball pythons can go months on months even up to a year without eating but it isn't healthy when you're the reason why he isn't eating. In the winter time, ball pythons tend not to eat for a few months(see the difference from you not feeding him and he just refusing to eat because of himself)

Well when you go to the store try to buy at least 4 feeders(maybe a medium to large mice(NOT rat) and stock up on them because you don't know when the next time you would be busy like that again. Also if you have a reptile expo coming to your town then you should go and buy the feeders there. They sell it really cheap, but it is only frozen/thawed feeders(I am not sure what your snake is on) But they sell it for about 50 large mice for $30 or $40....I can't seem to remember.

In conclusion, you should be feeding your ball python at least once a week or feed it something a little bit bigger then it's body(but not too too much bigger) for once every 2 weeks. But at least get him on an actual feeding schedule, it would help him be a better eater(since ball pythons are already known for being finicky eaters to begin with)

Hope this could help out a little but!

  9. As a snake owner for 10 years, it truly varies on type of snake, season, and what it eat the preceding time, in colder months snakes will eat less, on average 1 time ever month to month and a half, this is because in the wild they are hibernating, in the warmer months i t will be anywhere from 2 weeks to a month before they eat, this is the best way i can help without know the type of snake, good luck

Ball pythons eat much less then  normal snakes. owner of one for 5 years, they east much less, but they eat larger food, such as rats instead of small mice, or multiple mice instead of single mice, they normally eat from 1 month to 2 months at a time, sometimes less, but very unusual

  10. What kind of snake? Most boas will be ready to eat not long after they eliminate their last meal. I've never kept any other type however.
