How often should I wear these rubberbands?

So, I went to the ortho today, and I got rubberbands for the first time. Ive had braces for a long time, and I just need to wear one basically across my mouth where you could see it clearly if I would talk, it looks a little like this /, a slant across my front teeth. My ortho said to only wear it at night, but should I wear it during the day too, to speed up the time?

Why is everyone nowadays trying to speed up their treatment. If he said just at night he must have a reason for it. if you've had your braces for a long time whats a little longer.

Your ortho is trying to correct our midline with this elastic. He probably told you to only wear it at night b/c he didn't want your midline to shift too far in the other direction. I would only wear them at night, if yo wear them all the time, you risk prolonging your treatment. Good luck!

no i dont think so beter sticking to what your ortho says because he surely has a reason for it.
