How often should a mattress be changed? ?

It depends on the quality of a mattress, I would have said 10 years but our current mattress is 9 years old and feels as good as the day we bought it (Dunlopillo).  If it is always protected with a mattress protector to keep it clean then carry on with it until it becomes uncomfortable.

The life of a mattress is 7 years and should be purchased right around that period.  As far as 'flipping' goes, I flip mine whenever I change my sheets.

Supposed to flip and rotate mattress, once a month. To buy a new one, would say when you can't get comfortable any more.
