My 3 year old boy only pees in the morning, around 9 am and doesnt pee untill 6 or 7 that night. We asked him every hour or 2 to go and he says "it cant come out". Should I be worried? When he does finally go, I would expect more pee, but its not much. Also, he drinks plenty of water during the day, he also drinks milk and tea.

  1. i would say it fine unless he just pee a little bit at one time and drink a lot of fluids mind only pees 3 and on a good day 4 times a day

  2. have him see a dr. my 3 year old goes about 4 times a day.

  3. I would take him to the dr's to be sure. Some children do not have to pee a lot and others pee more. It sounds like he needs more water-

Tea is bad for children that could be the problem - the caffeine dehydrates them(and adults for that matter) so he is losing liquid even as he is taking it in. Stop the tea - use watered down juice 25 % juice 75% water, water and milk.

  4. I would take him to the doctor.

  5. I don't think that is normal.  You should talk to his pediatrician about it.
