  1. Every other month for the first year.

  2. My son had a check up and shots every month for the first 6 months (he only gets 2 shots at a time) and will now be going every other month until a year old.

  3. For a healthy baby I took my daughter every other month. That's how often the Dr said to bring her in.

  4. at 2 days, 2 weeks, 8 weeks, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months.

  5. Talk to your doctor.

We've skipped several with doctor's approval because she's gaining weight and one of them would have fallen during a flu outbreak.  Sorry, but when you're 4 month old is strong, sturdy, eating and healthy, then you don't have to do the well-baby check up if you're going to expose them to the flu that's closed down schools around the area for disinfecting.  ugh.  We went in at 5 months instead.

For the most part though, your doctor will give you a schedule they want you to follow.  Use your brain though, and if you know that taking them in will risk them to something then put it off a few weeks until the risk goes down.

  6. Time to pick up a book or two on pregnancy and parenting.

  7. every 3 months or so until they are 1 yr then every 6 months for the next year- then once a year from there on out

  8. Doesn't your doctor tell you these things, they should know when the child needs shots and stuff, ask your doc
