How often should i change my parakeets food?

I don't know how often i should change my 2 parakeet's food. I just got them yesterday and I don't want to waste any should i just put in a little and change it every morning? i'm not real sure.

Remove husks from old seed and put fresh seed in daily. Make sure yoou also keep fresh water in for your birdie also. Mame sure you check the water every now and then because they tend to p**p in it.

yep....what I do is at night I take the food out of his cage (blow the remains of the seeds out of the food dish...outside)  put it in the fridge over night, to keep it fresh and healthy,  than in the morning I take it out put just a LITTLE more new food in. BUT I do change the whole dish ever three days.

Yes exactly what you just said put a little and change it every morning.

I also suggest you use pellets their healthier if you are not already. Also you should give them fruits and veggies every day. But no grapes, raisins, avocados, iceberg lettuce, or pits and seeds you wouldn't eat.

yeah good idea change it every morning..

but the water should be changed 2-3 times a day

heres a site that will tell u other foods that u can give them too but just make sure u dont leave them in there too long.. especially veggies and fruits no more than 2 hrs. unless its corn..

only put in about 1/4 cup or less of food and change it every day.  Also make sure you change the water every day.
