  1. You can do them every day.  Other times to do them is after class since you'll be more flexible or at night after your shower.  When you do your stretches, do several repeating rounds of different types of stretches.

For instance if your routine is toe touches, hamstring stretches, splits then neckrolls, after you finish the neckrolls, start on the toe touches again.  You'll find that you'll be more flexible as each round goes by.  Try this and you'll be doing the splits in no time.

  2. Hey.

    I know this great exercise...

Get all of the phone books in the house you can find, yellow pages, white pages, etc.

Place them in one big pile and put a thin pillow on top.

Sit on top of the books in the splits with your knees stretched and all and stay in that position for 30 seconds.

After that, take out one book from the pile beneath you and place the pillow back on top (the pillow is so it doesn't hurt from the books your sitting on).

Go back down into the splits on the books and do it for another 30 seconds, taking a book away every time till you can't go any further. Suck in the pain... make sure each time you do this, you have your knees completely straight, other wise it won't work properly.

You will have to do this everyday.

You can also do this same exercise in the right or left leg splits. I hope this helped you...

Any other flexy questions, just ask me...

  3. every other day would be best. Allow a day of rest inbetween each split. The splits can be intense on the body if you're not used to going all the way down. But still stretch on the days you are not doing the splits!
