  1. If they're weaned and out of the nest, I always feed them twice a day.   They're still growing and putting on the rest of their feathers, so I usually feed them about 1/4 of their daily ration in the morning and about 3/4 in the evening.   I feed until the second or third bird goes to take a drink or you can figure about 1 1/2 tablespoons per bird per day and then divide it up as you will.  I keep them on a 16-18% ration until they have grown their adult feather or until the molt stops, depending on season, etc., then drop them to a lower protein.

If your babies are still in the nest or being handfed, then again I feed twice a day - I feed the parents morning and night or even as they want while they are feeding the babies.  Make sure they have adequate grit, calcium, etc., as well.

If you're handfeeding, then twice a day.

Once the birds are up and flying well - I'm assuming you have racer or rollers or other flying birds, then I shift to an evening feed and only feed a sort of "dessert" in the morning after they trap in after exercise, maybe some safflower, canary seed, etc.  Check with some of you local folks as well to see what is useful in your climate.
