  1. you should have seen her at 12 weeks, have you had your first scan? i would contact your doctors or the midwife, if you have her number. good luck

  2. i see my midwife every 2 weeks its so annoying but that's only because i suffer from depression and im seen as a" special "case.. but normally it should be every 4 weeks for a first time mum  and probably every 6 weeks if its not your first gd luck x

  3. Right after you see your pre-wife, but before you encounter your post-wife?

    Congratulations!

  4. you should of seen her just after your scan then it will be 4 weeks after untill you are about 30 weeks then it will be every 2 weeks good luck and congradulations

  5. Hi I saw my midwife at 12 weeks, 16 weeks for the triple test, then 20 weeks then 24 weeks , then 28 weeks, then 31 weeks, and then 34 weeks then 35 weeks then 37 weeks, I am now 38 weeks and see my midwife at 39 weeks, as when you get to the end of pregnancy you go every 2 weeks.

I think you should of deffinatly seen your midwife by now, you should of had your scan and triple test as well before now, there is no harm in ringing her to find out. I would ring her right now and see whats going on with your appointments,

  6. I went to see my midwife last sunday and I was ten weeks, she then phoned for a scan date and also booked me into her antenatal clinic on the 22nd september, which I was surprised about, cos thought it would be longer. All the midwives seem to me to have their own way of caring for their women, if you are concerned I should call her and ask when she would next like to see you, she won't mind and understandably people need to know in advance for work committments etc...

  7. in the uk you should see her at 16 weeks to have bloods done. Its important to have this appointment as close to 16 weeks as possible if you are having the test for spina bifida and downs syndrome risk. Gestation alters the results of this one. After that you should have scan at 20 weeks, midwife at 24, 28, 31, 34, 36, 38, 40, 41.

Usually the woman is supposed to make the 16 week appointment once her due date is confirmed by the first scan. Call your surgery up and make an appointment for this week or next. If they have nothing available call midwife directly and she will probably see you wherever she is based i.e local maternity unit

  8. i seen my midwife last week and am not booked in to see her again till 10th December!

  9. you wont see your midwife again until 25 weeks then it is every 3 weeks  until 34 weeks then every 2 weeks until due date.

Your first appointment was called a booking in appointment  and then you should have got a letter to go for a scan and have blood tests at 12 - 14 weeks ( if not ring her) then at 16 weeks you go back to the hospital and they discuss blood work( very boring) then you have another scan around 20-23 weeks  then you have to book in with your midwife for a 25 weeks appointment if you have not already. you'll have your anti-d injections at 28 weeks and 31 ( if you need it)  Then its all go from there. good luck and congrats

  10. Have you not had your scan at the hospital yet?

If not you need to ring your antenatal dept at the hospital and tell them you havn't been seen yet and can they send you out your app time, has your doctor definately registered you with the hospital?

    EDIT

Just read your additional info, you will have another scan between 20-23 weeks and then again at about 28 weeks, once you have had the 28 weeks scan you will be told to go and see the midwife (usually at your doctor surgery) every 4 weeks and closer to your time it will be every 2 weeks

  11. I'm 17 weeks i first saw my midwife at 8 weeks then again at about 12 then last week for my triple test. Now i won't see her for another 8 weeks. If your worried call your midwife her number will be on your green notes and ask when the next appointment is. She should really have gone over this with you on your first appointment. Hope everything is well and congrats on the baby xx

  12. i saw mine every 3 weeks hun, but not until i was 12 weeks preggers. i saw her too when i was about 6 week,s she booked then scan and i didnt see her until after my 12 week scan. when is your next appointment? she should have booked one with you before leaving the last one. good luck with bubba!! x*x

  13. You should have seen her at 12 weeks to discuss your plan & scans.  Then around your 20 week scan.  You'd see her more often if you had any problems otherwise not until near the end of your pregnancy.

I would say about 5 visits all in all.

After the birth you should see her once and then your care will be taken over by the health visitor.

Areas do vary though so it might be worthwhile asking your at your GPs surgery,

    Congrats and good luck :)
