  1. You need to find out what your  particular states laws regarding rabies vaccines are.

Each state is different but it is a law in every state in the U.S. & I cant imagine it wouldn't be mandated in Canada as well.

It has nothing to do with which vaccine you get or what  vaccines protocal your regular vet uses, it is up to your state governmental laws. On a side note there is no Vaccine for heartworm. there is monthly prventative and an anual test.

  2. depends on which vaccine you get.  they have a one year and a three year.  the shot can be given a few weeks before the anniversary of the previous shot.

  3. Discuss this with you vet!  some vaccines are good for a year, and some for three years.

  4. The first when you need to do it then once a year with booster shots

  5. Many Vets in America now offer three year rabies vaccines for dogs.  That is actually healthier for the dog compared to yearly vaccinations.  You have to make sure the shot is documented  by the VET as a three year shot, then keep your paper work so when you license your dog with your city (if you do this) you can send a copy of the proof of rabies vaccination each year you renew it until your dog gets the next three year shot.

  6. ONCE A YEAR BEFORE THE NEXT TIME ITS DUE AGAIN..... MAKE SURE YOU PUT HIS NEW TAGS ON AND ALWAYS KEEP THE RECORDS IN A SAFE PLACE WHERE YOU HAVE THEM TO SHOW PRO.. ITS THE LAW IN MOST STATES THAT THEY HAVE THEIR RABIES SHOT.....ITS ONCE A YEAR.........

  7. Depends on what you local ordinances specify. Most are every 3 years but some require rabies every year. Most also require that the vaccination be given by a Vet's office so records of the shot are kept.

  8. Once a year.

well, I live in Europe...and here it's like that.

  9. Depends on your vet. Most vets now use a 3-year vaccine, so once every 3 years. Some still go with the 1-year vaccine.

You can simply call your local vets to determine which protocol they use.

  10. its at your vets discreation and the laws of where you live.     Where we live we are required by law to have our dogs vaccinated for rabies once a year      some places its every 3 years

  11. it is once every three years provided that you have the vaccine administered before the anniversary date of the previous years shot.

  12. It will depend on where you live. In Arizona The first time it is 1 year and every 3 there after...

  13. Most vaccines are once a year. If you find a good vet you will get notices when they are due.  I have a wellness policy at Banfield Clinics (PetSmart) and they do let you know when the guys need to come in for tests and vaccines and it is exceptional value.  There are many other vaccines that prevent dog diseases and you vet will know what they are.  Heart Worms is an important vaccine.

  14. Only ONCE. Vets say that you should get your dog vaccinated every year. But that's not necessary. Vets say this because vaccines are Vaccines are a big part of a vets income. You pay $15-$50 on the vaccine and $25-$35 for visits.
