  1. from everything i have read, once the umbilical cord has fallen off you can give a real bath and you can do that about once every 2-3 days and soap only needs to be used about once a week. just warm water will do until the baby is actually getting "dirty".  before the umbilical cord falls off you just give a wipe down with a warm washcloth.

  2. I have bathed mine everyday since birth.  His hair gets really greasy and gross otherwise.  Sponge bath until the cord falls off.  Then bath everyday and soon your little one will understand that getting clean if fun.

  3. go to www.babycenter.co.uk

it has everything there you need to know! :)

    good luck x*x

  4. every few days or so wipe him down. mostly just the mouth and butt get dirty at that age.  i'd say no more than 4 times a week or the skin might get too dry. won't need a bath everyday until they start crawling or later

in the winter i bathe mine every 2-3 days because of the dry weather but summertime more often

  5. I was told by my ped. that a newborn only needs a bath about twice a week.  My little one will be 5 weeks tomorrow and now we are up to bathing her 3 times a week.  The babies don't get that dirty so you don't need to bathe them every day - if they do get a bit dirty (mine slops formula everywhere) then just wipe them down with a warm washcloth.

  6. you can do it everyday just as long as you use lotion so his skin wont dry out.
