  1. Uhm... This question is very confusing... but if you're asking if your bird has worms like in a dog or a cat.. Well I'm no bird expert but I don't think birds get worms. I'm sure they eat earth worms but they don't worms like a dog or a cat can.

  2. Never, unless the avian vet tells you to.  That's the only time you should ever give your bird any kind of medication; otherwise, you could way too easily cause even more damage.  Birds don't even usually get worms anyway, unless maybe you keep them in an outdoor aviary, but again, they need a professional avian vet for any suspected health problems.

  3. I don't know what kind of bird your speaking of, although it really doesn't matter.  There is a way to rid your bird of parasites without exposing it to unnecessary toxic chemicals and give it a mineral supplement at the same time.

Diatomaceous Earth-  It is a natural, organic, powder that can be fed to your bird that will naturally eliminate any internal parasites.  In fact, if you give your bird a place to be able to dust bathe in it, it will eliminate any external parasites also.

If you have a small cage bird, you will only need a small amount.  It lasts a long time.  Sales sites like Ebay are good sources of DE in small packages.

Just be sure to buy "Food Grade" DE, not the stuff used for swimming pools.

The only health hazard to DE is that be careful when handling it.  It is a very fine powder and you don't want to inhale it.
