  2. What state are you in. The law on child safety seating requirements varies from state to state. Some go by weight and height, some by weight and age and I really don't think any two are the same. I have found that if you Google Car safety seat +your state you'll usually get a listing of the requirements for whatever state you are in. Good Luck.
