How old are billy goats when they start to reproduce?

I have a nanny and a billy goat and i want to seperate them before she has a chance to get pregnant.. they are about 2 months now. so when should they seperate so she won't get pregnant?

  1. Believe it or not, a goat kid of either s*x can be fertile at 7 weeks of age. That is not to say that they should be bred at this age. Intact bucks and does over 7 weeks of age should not be kept together because a young buck can, and will, breed a female at 2 months of age, this includes his mother and 2 month old sister!

  2. I'm not sure about separation, but you should have the vet neuter your billy goat. That will solve your problem of breeding for sure.

    so seperate them at 4 months, or wether the billy..
