My sister is getting a dove this week, we forgot to ask the breeder exactly how old they are. I know they are babys, typically how old are doves when breeders let them go?

  1. When we raised doves, they weaned at about 4 weeks of age, depending on the parents insisting on them eating on their own.Just make sure the baby is eating on it's own before she leaves the breeders, because it is such a pain to hand feed them.

  2. They should be completely weaned by the time it is 5-51/2 weeks old. They will live for a long time.
