  1. Not to be mean or anything but if you didn't already know I really don't think you should be breeding hamsters, hamsters are not pack animals of any astride and they can be very temperamental with other hamsters, normally the best idea is to just have one hamster, it has you for companionship that's all that it really needs. Leave the breeding to the professionals.

  2. well,i breed them when they are about six months old...but i may exceed to seven months to be safe...

  3. its safe to breed at 12 weeks, but they can breed really early.

  4. They can produce young at 4 weeks. HOWEVER, it is not safe for them to do so at this age.

If you're considering breeding, you'll need a lot more information than you'll get from yahoo answers to do so safely and responsibly including basic background genetic information on your breeding pair and genetic lethals of your particular species.

  5. Hamsters can become parents really young which is not good. If you plan on breeding hamsters you should wait until they are 6 months old.

  6. Hamsters can become 'parents'- though they don't, 'mum' and 'dad' are human relations, animals breed- at as young as four weeks.

  7. The youngest recorded age was 4 weeks or something, but they say the best age is about 8-12 weeks.
