  1. 4 or 5

  2. I work in the Texas school system and the children have to be 4 by September 1st to get into Pre K. There is also an income requirement that you have to meet. You can only make a certain amount to qualify. It is based on the money you make and the number of people in your household.

  3. My kids started at 3 years old or potty trained. Thank goodness my boys and granddaughter all were potty trained by 3 yrs old.

  4. I teach Pre K at my school. The children have a birthday that misses the cutoff date or the parents feel another year of preschool would help them to be better prepared. We emphasize all the social behavior and begin to introduce more of the activities that the child is required to finish. Much of the time is allowing the child to be responsible for his own things and behavior.

We try to show the parents by example that their child is ready to be self sufficient.

At the same time we want the child to want to come to school and feel it is a good place to be.

  5. 4- 5 years old depending on their birthday... pre-school classes may start for 3-4 year olds..but pre-k is generally for the older group.

  6. Kids can start Preschool around 3 yrs. My son started when he was 3.

  7. Normally 3 to 4 years of age.

  8. In Texas, the public schools allow children age 4 to be enrolled into PreK. PreK is short for Pre-Kindergarten. Usually the child has to be age 4 by September 1st for prek and age 5 for kinder. So, any students with a bday after Sept 1st could technically be 5 yrs. old in PreK.

  9. It depends on where you live.

My kids both started preschool around the age of 3yrs. old.

My oldest started pre K at 4yrs. old and he will be in kindergarten at 5yrs. old

  10. 3-5

  11. Mostly kids can start pre-school from 4- 6 years old, it depends on the parent and school, most kids start at 5, at least my classmates did.

  12. They are usually 3 or 4.

    I started when I was 3.

  13. about 3 years old

  14. My son starts at aged 2 he goes 5 days a week for 3hours. He still goes to the same nursery and he loves it there

  15. My daughter was 4 when she started pre school...

  16. Usually kids start preschool when they are 3 (and potty trained if it is outside a childcare setting).  In my area there are two private preschools that have created a 2 year old class that meets a couple of times a week.

Pre-K is usually started at age 4 and is made up mostly of kids who should have started kindergarten but missed the birthday cut off date by a few months.  They learn just about the same things that kindergartens learn but usually the day isn't as long and there is more times spent going over each topic.

  17. Some start at 3 years old, and others at 4.

  18. depends on the school system I think...my son started at age 3

  19. probably 4. They may go another year if they aren't ready for Kindergarten

  20. You have to be 3 years old by August 2 to attend our preschool.  Our school is a two year program.  One year in the 3's program for two days a week, then one year in the 4's program for three days a week.  A lot of parents are opting for two years of the 4's and 5's class to give their child an advantage on the age thing.  Good idea considering all they do in kindergarten now.

  21. My daughter was 3 when she started preschool

  22. They are four years old and about to turn 5!
