How old can a check be until the bank wont except it ?

i have a check from an insurance company - i was holding it until i received a bill from my provider, but the check is dated february 2008 - will the bank still accept it ? or does it expire after a certain amount of days?

  2. Bank checks are generally void after 90 days (3 months). See you check if a notification of this kind is written somewhere on it.

  3. checks are valid for six months unless specially mentioned on the face of it.

    go and deposit in your bank tomorrow itself. for the safer side before you do that ask for assistance and check it up.

  4. I'm pretty sure checks are only good for 90days, but you may call your bank and ask, if it's from a company and not a personal check, the rules may be different. Good Luck!
