How old can hamster babies be without there mom.

my mama hamster ran away. and she just had babies about 2 or so weeks ago. will the babies be fine?

not really usually it need about 3 to 4 weeks, but why did the mama ran away where did she went. if she is still in the house make a trap.

you will need: one plastic container hamster's food and books.

make sure that she can't climb out the container.

just fill the container with some hamsters food and leave the books around the container, so when the hamster smelled the food, and she will climb into the container, but can't get out.

this helps everytime.

I'm sorry they'll die of hunger.....Since their mama don't feed them they can't not eat hamster's food........=/

And their mama will eat them.....She forgot their smells and will eat them all

Most babies start nibbling food before their eyes open, but are not completely weaned until 3 weeks.  So the babies might be fine, just keep an eye on them and make sure they have plenty of food and water.

ETA:  Did she try eating them, or try putting them in her cheek pouches?  Ham-moms will put babies in their pouches to move them.  (like, if she found a new place to nest while out of the cage, she may have come back to take them to it.)
