  1. I assume your asking how old you need to be to get a driving licence in Canada.  Generally it's age 16.  Each province has slightly different rules regarding beginners, learners and novice drivers.   Alex nailed it for British Columbia.   Try googling the provincial DMVs for the specific province you're interested in.  As far as the maximum age, I don't believe that there is one, however, over a certain age, annual exams and doctor certification may be necessary.  Again, that will vary by province.


  2. Well, in BC you get your L at 16, meaning you can drive with an adult supervisor, and then you get your N at 17, meaning you can drive by yourself or with one other person in your car, and I think you have to have your N for 2 years before you can get your full drivers licence.
