  1. With the internet, there is no age requirement to find your birth mom.  However, as an adoptee who did just that, I can tell you that the experience was more than I was ready to handle emotionally.  I was seriously freaked out for a long time.

If you really want to find your birth mom, my best recommendation is that you talk to a counselor about it and how you would feel if she didn't want to meet you, if she wanted to be your friend, and esplore your true feelings about your adoption first.

Finding my birth mom was also very hard on my adopted mom.  It hurt her terribly, and I didn't know how to comfort her. It wasn't that I didn't love her, it was just that I wanted so much to know where I came from.

By the way, I was 29 when I found her.  She was happy to find me, too, but we ended up having a terrible fight and having to walk away from each other for 10 years .  We got back together a year ago, and so far we have become very good friends with a profound respect for each other.

    Good luck to you.

  2. no age limit...good luck to you!

  3. I don't think you have to be a certain age.

  4. you can find her now just go on this website, i dont know exactly wht its called but go to a people search, type her name and other things they ask you about her and it should give you her adress and phone # if she has one. but yeah my e mail is, rissa_rox_123@yahoo.com if you have ques. e mail me ok ♥

  5. Legally, you are supposed to be 18 years old before you pursue a search for your birth parents.  Technically though, you can do it at anytime.

  6. Your best bet is to register with whatever reunion registries you can; they're also called "mutual consent" registries.  If both you and your birth mother agree, then they will give each of you the other's location and information.

    Good luck!

  7. you have to be 18 in most places.

go to your local courthouse or adoption agency to find out for sure.

  8. If you find her on the internet there is no age limit. Legally the adoption agency can not give you information like that until you are 18. When you turn 18 you can go to the adoption agency or to the court house and they pretty much have to answer all the questions you have. Keep in mind though that they might not have all the answers but they will  give you what they have. My boyfriend is adopted and he has to wait to find his birth mom.

Maybe try talking to your adoptive parents. They might know some stuff that you don't. That's how my boyfriend found out all that he knows.

    Good luck!
